Lovely Sirens, what a fantastic year! I hope you all had a good exodus and have had a chance to scrub a week of dust, grime, and party sweat off your bodies.

As I’m sure you all know, we have a truck! Even though we got a pretty good deal on it, it’s still more than the camp can afford in a single year based on dues alone, so we’re asking you to consider loaning the camp some money. Some of you have already offered, and we’ll be taking you up on it, but we’d like to give everyone who’d like to help out a chance to chip in. Any amount $50 or more is welcome.

Here’s how it will work: the truck cost $5,000, and we’re asking for $5,000 in loans. You’ll give me your loan now, and then, after we’ve finished paying expenses for each year’s burn, most of our leftover cash will be distributed out to repay the loan; each donor will get the same percentage of their loan repaid. Let’s say you lent the camp $100, and we have $1,000 left over this year to pay towards the truck (or 20% of the $5,000 cost). You’ll get 20% of your money back that year, or $20.

We expect to have 100% of the loan paid back in 3-5 years, but will depend on our other expenses (and the cost of truck maintenance). Please reply here or contact me if you’re interested.
